Not surprisingly, FC Cincinnati had two players from Saturday’s 6-0 win against San Jose Earthquakes − Brenner Souza da Silva and Luciano Acosta − named to Major League Soccer’s Team of the Week for Week 30 of the regular season. The Team of the Week honors were announced Monday afternoon, and by Monday evening, Brenner had also pulled down the second-ever MLS Player of the Week award. Brenner scored a hat-trick Saturday, scoring in the 47th, 90th, and 95th minutes, respectively, and also assisted on Yuya Kubo’s 77th-minute goal. Brenner, who earlier this season recorded the first hat-trick in club history, on Saturday became the first player to contribute directly to four goals in a single FCC match.
