Despite decades of fluctuating lineups and snarly lawsuits among band members , Journey endures. On July 8, the band released&nbsp;&#8220;Freedom,&#8221; its first new album in 11 years that also presents the return of Randy Jackson (as in&nbsp;&#8220;American Idol&#8221;) on bass. The 15-song collection is steeped with vintage-sounding ballads (&#8220;Still Believe in Love,&#8221; &#8220;Live to Love Again&#8221;) and soaring melodic rockers (&#8220;United We Stand,&#8221; &#8220;You Got the Best of Me&#8221;). Journey &#8211; including longtime keyboardist Jonathan Cain, peppy singer Arnel Pineda , drummer Deen Castronovo&nbsp;and keyboardist Jason Derlatka,&nbsp;adding bassist Todd Jensen for&nbsp;live shows&nbsp;&#8211; will hit Resorts World Las Vegas this month&nbsp;for shows backed by a symphony orchestra before rolling through more arena dates this summer and in early 2023,<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Journey turns 50 in 2023 and kicks off the celebration with &#8220;Freedom,&#8221; its first album in 11 years.
